  • If India dissappoint on SA tour, Should Current Selection Committee be Deserved to be resigned?

    http://www.cricketchaupal.com/cricket-news/indian-test-squad-team-for-tour-of-south-africa-seamers-umesh-yadav-unadkat-in.html

They left out and ignored some of the most promising bowlers such as Abhimanyu Mithun, Amit Mishra (Took 5 Wicket Haul against Aus at Debut), Robin Uthappa (Much Better Batsman and Wicket Keeper than W. Saha).
Irfan Pathan and RP Singh are again missing and no news in media about both of them.

Whats the point in selecting the poor form players such as Umesh Yadav (how miserable he proved without taking much of a wicket at last Zimbabwe Tour) and W. Saha (Don't seems to have much guts for International Cricket)?
Uthappa is an experienced wicket keeper for RCB and has done a terrific job recent IPL season.

  • So what is India's cause of massive failure in England tour?

Please state the reasons why India failed so badly in England. This tour has been the biggest disaster in recent history. I cannot remember a tour more disastrous then this for the past 10 years or so. In the late 1990's to 2000, there were some disastrous tours India had in Australia. But from 2000 to 2011, I can hardly remember anything worse than this

  • What are your thoughts on the root cause of this problem concerning cricket administration?

    Friends,

I would like to draw your attention to this article published in the "Dawn" (this is also the paper that published our esteemed participant Mr Arsalan Mujahids manuscript on e-commerce recently). It quotes the former Pakistani coach Mr Alam:

"Intikhab, who was replaced by Waqar Younis after the tour, revealed that apart from their woeful on-field performance, the players failed to conduct themselves in a proper manner off the field as well.

"I felt that they are mentally retarded people," Intikhab was quoted as saying to the committee. "There is a mental problem with our players. They don't know how to wear their clothes and how to talk in a civilized manner."
    "

Now the following gets even wierder:
"Intikhab, however, identified Malik as someone with a "negative attitude" who was "active in intrigues in the team". Quoting an example of the factions that had developed within the team, Intikhab confessed to hearing that a group of "six to seven" players had gone to the former captain Inzamam-ul-Haq's house before the UAE tour prior to the Australia series, where they "took oath on the Quran that they will remain united against (the then captain) Younis Khan". "

However, Malik's statement implicates Yousuf instead:

"But Malik, a former captain, denied that allegation and said that the players had vowed to remain united in case a team member was dropped "unjustifiably". He added that the oath was taken in Yousuf's hotel room and not at Inzamam's house.
    "

    1. I expect that our intelligent members here, particularly those from Pakistan, may have a greater insight into whats going on. Your thoughts please?

    2. Finally someone made a comment here (I somewhat disagree) but I would like your comments:

"Posted by Mudassar Ali Khan on (May 08 2010, 11:04 AM GMT)
I believe Intikhab Alam is one of the main reasons that pak players have become mentally retarded
    "

    3. Is Waqar a good replacement for Mr Alam?

    Thanks

    Rehman

  • Why are Aussies are not able to do simple calculations regarding cricket calendar and rankings?

They think India don't tour Aussies.

    Is that a pathetic Joke?

They also say India seem to play against SA and Aus at home only.

Well, India is scheduled to tour these countries (SA , AUS , ENG) after every 4 or 5 years.

India toured England in 2002 and then in 2007 and Next India will tour England in 2011 in Jul Aug.

Last India toured Australia was in 2007-2008 , and before that it was in 2003- 2004 , and before that in 1999-2000
Next tour of India in Australia is at the end of 2011 (continuing the same pattern).

And same is with India touring SA. India will go to SA at the end of this year, the Last time it was in 2006 and before that in 2001- 2002 season.
So India is keeping their commitments and its only SA ,AUS who are more interested in playing India.

The reason SA and Aus have played (will play) test matches this year in india is because their cricket boards accepted India's offer to fit more tests. it was not because India was scared to go to AUS or SA.its not like series was scheduled in SA or AUS and India forced to play them in India. If you don't want to play then simply decline. why the eff your team comes here, if they are not happy?

And the other thing which I keep hearing from these dingoes is that India keeps playing bangladesh to "Boost" their rankings.

Hey retards, how is it possible for you to boost your current rankings by playing Bottom Ranked teams all the time ,How is it possible to Boost the ranking when you will only get 1 point for whitewashing that team?

Have India earned those 124 points by beating Bangladesh only?

You idiots should know that after playing bottom ranked teams like pakistan , newzealand and west indies whole season . How many points you gained after beating them?

And furthermore Australia has played more games against Bangladesh in the last five years then India have.infact seven teams have played more against Bangladesh then india (including Aussies)

Why can't you guys look at the stats before barking ?

Six teams have played more against Bangladesh with Sri lanka heading the table.
Mr. information I agree that i am using some harsh words , but i have said the same thing in polite words as well, but that doesn't get in their heads.

And I am not referring to all the Aussies , only some delusional and misinformed ones.
    http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=11;filter=advanced;opposition=25;orderby=matches;spanmax1=11+Jul+2010;spanmin1=1+jan+2005;spanval1=span;template=results;type=team
TYPO in the main Q: Why are Aussies not able.... ?
@Horrible - What are you trying to prove with those stats.
i am not saying India is a great side when it comes to touring abroad , even though they have made improvements in the last few years by beating pakistan , West indies ,England and New Zealand in their territory.

There are three which i want to convey with this qn
    that
First ,India is not scared to play away from home ,and they are playing away from home regularly as opposed to the views of some people (like you) , who think India only plays at home.
Second you can't boost your Rankings by playing low ranked teams.
Third, India don't play low ranked teams all the time.
And lastly ,Australia have played Bangladesh more than India.

With your stats it seems like you are saying , India is not a good touring side and Bangladesh is a bad team.
Did i ever mention anything against that ?
Why are you bringing those issues in here ?

    take them somewhere else.
