Graeme is ruled out, and the selectors have made Jacques our captain for the ODIs against India. Is it just me, or have the selectors actually made a blunder in not making Johan Botha our captain instead? He captained the side during the ODI series against Australia in Australia in 2008, and proved to be quite handy.
So, anyone else feels that it would have been better had the selectors made Botha our captain instead? Or do you think Jacques is a good choice?

Anyways, to answer your Q.. I myself had no idea why Amla was left out of the 16 man squad. He has been in great touch with the bat in the shorter format of the game and leaving him out was a silly mistake. Anyways, glad that he's back now :)

The selectors say that they are preparing a team for World Cup 2011 and so are giving youngsters like Kohili, Jadeja, Tyagi a chance to play as a replacement for Rahul Dravid. These are the players whom Dhoni had picked up with so much confidence and now it doesn't seems our captain has even a bit confidence on them!!
Tyagi didn't even get a chance to play even a single match, Jadeja except for today's match when ever he came to bat it seemed his knocks took team more towards loosing rather than winning!! And Virat Kohili spent most of the time on the bench!!!
if the selectors want to prepare the juniors then why don't they ask them to play Ranjhi cricket afterall why is Ranjhi being organized??? To train young cricketers and i guess not for players like Rahul Dravid!!
If Dravid was't performing then this was fine to keep him away but when he's performing then what else do the selectors want??? The team's paying for this, today the condition of team was such that it had to depend on players like Praveen Kumar to score runs!!

The selectors have forgotten him and his flair.Instead of giving newbies a chance,he should be drafted in the squad.He's better than Steven Smith atleast.
