Barry Plant Kick Start Conference Highlights 2011

  Since the inaugural event in 2006, The Barry Plant Group's Kick Start conference has become one of, if not the major event in the network's calendar. With the theme Today Not Tomorrow (TNT), the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) provided the perfect backdrop and level of inspiration to prepare delegates for the year ahead as well as any challenges it may present. Kick Start attracts a number of sponsors and provides both suppliers and staff members the ideal arena to speak face to face at the suppliers tradeshows and learn more about their products and resources. For this reason, Kick Start has proven to be a fabulous networking opportunity. This year delegates were spoilt with the calibre of guest speakers which included some of Australia's most sort after presenters. Jason Clarke spoke to the group about how to creatively think outside the square, while the real estate industry's high performance coach, Josh Phegan shared his tips on becoming a real estate industry leader. Property Manager's were also exposed to outstanding insight from a number of industry experts. The conference sessions drew to a conclusion with a charismatic and inspirational presentation by Beechworth's most well known Baker, Tom O'Toole. Following a full day of conference sessions the group came together for a magnificent gala dinner and further entertainment. Over dinner the group marvelled and the fancy hand work of speed painter, Brad Blaze who put on a spectacular show at the evening function.
