When was the first time you watched a Cricket match?
When was the first you remember that you started watching Cricket match?.What were the first thoughts that occured to your mind about this game when you saw it at first?
Mine:
I started watching it from 1998 in Sharjah(I can still remember Sachin's innings of 143 in Coca Cola Cup).At then I didn't gave it much thought since I couldn't understand the game at first instant.I was 9 years old then. Then my uncle taught me how they play Cricket, terms such as runs etc.It was hard at the beginning to understand but gradually I understood as I started playing the game with my friends.
Then I started watching Cricket more frequently and mostly watched subcontinent teams(India,Pak ,Srilanka) and Australia games bcoz they were great champions then.I was still learning about the game then.
It's only started during 1999 world cup,I became a complete dedicated fan for cricket.I started to watch other teams games too more and more and then I became a fan of SA team too(Bcoz of their great cricket) along with India and that's how my journey started for watching the game with complete interest.
Hope you share your moments which made you like this game of cricket.

Amongst all the Cricket World Cups you watched before, which was the most exciting one in your opinion?
i. 1975 World Cup
ii. 1979 World Cup
iii. 1983 World Cup
iv. 1987 World Cup
v. 1992 World Cup
vi. 1996 World Cup
vii. 1999 World Cup
viii. 2003 World Cup
In my opinion, I have watched WCs 1996, 1999 and 2003. Amongst these three, I really enjoyed watching the 1999 World Cup. England were amazing hosts, also it was very competitive with all teams playing to their best & we could never feel sure until the final, as to who will win the cup. My dad, however feels that the 1983 World Cup was the most exciting.

So far I haven't watched a single WC 2011 match because they are all heavily one sided and very predictable. The bangladesh vs india, nz vs kenya and sl vs. canada were all too predictable and not worth watching. The south africa vs. west indies match next week is one sided too, with WI certain to lose. Same with zimbabwe vs. australia and kenya vs. pak. Since they are all boring and one sided games, I have not ordered world cup on pay per view tv whose cost is $150. I cannot pay $150 to dish TV to watch WC 2011 with such kind of games. If they want to get $150 from me, they have to show true entertainment.
something like india vs. pakistan is the type of match that is thrilling. i don't see any such match. so its not worth it for me to watch
graham: sorry i will not watch on computer screen. i will only watch it on TV if I have to.
