and I don't get my hopes on Sri Lanka, lol. I hoped that Sri Lanka will win the 2009 T20 and 2007 World Cup. But we lost both and I could not face it :/

i think Pakistan is going to qualify to FINALS. Cuz i have made predictions on the assumption that SL vs. Pak is a more common match than SL. vs India. But hey, i could be wrong.
Btw, i dunno for some reason i really think pak. will win. Cuz some of you Y!A users said how the match has been fixed, and india has been told to lose on purpose?!
Another thing...dont u think the team pairing was so biased. like in the semi-finals, they should've had the strong teams versing each other and then phudu teams against each othr.
For ex. West Indies vs. pak ...(obv pak was going to cream the balls outta WI) (same case with England vs. SL)
it should've been pak was sl and WI vs. England in the quarter finals.

It is evident that both india and pakistan use politics to decide cricket play. For example in the entire 2009 and 2010 only 2 matches have been played among the 2 cricket nations. Yet India vs. Pakistan have been one of the most entertaining cricket matches of all. Also in recent IPL tournament no pakistani player was chosen. Not even Afridi. About 12 to 13 years back, there used to be a tournament called "sahara cup" between india and pakistan each year. however, in 1999 the tournament was canceled citing politics between the 2 governments. Politics being used to influence cricket play, makes the sports unpopular and most people who don't watch cricket will use this as justification not to take cricket seriously. My point is what does politics have to do with cricket play? The politicians of subcontinent and cricket players have no connection or relation at all. Also then there is hypocrisy. If politics is used to influence cricket, then why are both countries willing to play with each in world cup? If India is to face Pakistan in world cup, why then politics is not considered but only considered for non-world cup matches? If Pakistan or India host world cup, then why are they willing to play in that case?
